A very simple and reliable way of advancing the cam timing is to fit this modified and adjustable cam sprocket. By simply inserting a precisely calculated offset disc, the cam timing will be advanced to your required figure. Quick and accurate changes can be made (without the need for timing discs and clocks) to optimise your power characteristics either at the dyno or at home.
    Standard road cars generally run with a cam timing which is 'safe' for general purpose, but once advanced it livens up the performance for quicker throttle response, more revs and more power! Also when the chain stretches with wear, this also retards the timing and reduces performance. If you skim your head on a rebuild this is a must to regain cam timing and performance.
    This is a used original cam sprocket modified to take the special degree discs. Two discs are supplied, +2 degrees and +4 degrees.
    This method is the most reliable as used by race teams.
